National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s federal agency with primary responsibility for establishing and enforcing motor vehicle safety standards. NHTSA establishes and promotes national and state highway safety related programs and materials including Click It or Ticket, impaired driving, child passenger safety and school bus safety. Governors Highway Safety Association
The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) is
a nonprofit association representing the highway safety
offices of states, territories, the District of Columbia
and Puerto Rico. GHSA provides leadership and representation
for the states and territories to improve traffic safety,
influence national policy and enhance program management.
Its members are appointed by their Governors to administer
federal and state highway safety funds and implement
state highway safety plans.

Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge
The Illinois Traffic Safety Challenge is coordinated
by the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police - Traffic
Committee, and is designed to challenge police departments,
county sheriff agencies, state police districts and
other law enforcement agencies to tackle the traffic
safety problems in their jurisdictions in unique ways.
Applications are due in April of each year for efforts
conducted during the previous calendar year.
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)
is a nonprofit research and communications organization
funded by auto insurers. IIHS distributes the newsletter "Status
Report" and produces low-cost videos on a variety
of highway safety topics. IIHS also produces fact sheets
and lists of state safety belt and child passenger
safety laws.

National Child Passenger Safety Board
The National Child Passenger Safety Board has been established to provide program direction and technical guidance to states, communities and organizations as a means to maintain a credible, standardized child passenger training and certification program. The website serves as a primary resource for information and updates on the NCPSB, the Standardized CPS Curriculum, and certification or recertification.
National Safety Council
The National Safety Council is an international public service organization dedicated to educating and influencing people to prevent accidental injuries and deaths. Founded in 1913 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1953, the NSC is the only organization promoting safety in the workplace, in transportation, and in homes and communities.
Safe Kids Worldwide
Safe Kids Worldwide is the first and only international nonprofit organization dedicated solely to preventing unintentional childhood injury. It focuses on one specific problem: more children 1 to 14 die from accidents such as motor vehicle crashes, fires, drowning, poisoning and falls than any other cause. Safe Kids also serves as the national certifying body for the child passenger safety program.
TraumaLink - Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
The Center for Injury Research and Prevention is a comprehensive pediatric trauma research facility at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia dedicated exclusively to addressing injury, the leading cause of death for children and adolescents. The ongoing research partnership between State Farm and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is the world's largest study of children in motor vehicle crashes. The Young Driver Research Initiative and Crash Injury Research and Engineering Network are also based out of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia .
United Nations Road Safety Collaboration
In April 2004, the United Nations General Assembly resolution A/RES58/289 on “Improving global road safety” invited WHO, working in close cooperation with the United Nations regional commissions, to act as coordinator on road safety issues across the United Nations system.
