Ideas for displaying the posters include: local libraries, child care centers, elementary schools, churches, community agencies, etc. These posters were designed to attract the attention of children, parents and other caregivers.

Bookmarks can be given out at libraries, schools, child care centers, etc. They serve as a great reminder to children and their parents on the importance of car seats and booster seats.

 

Placemat
Encouraging local restaurants to use these placemats on their trays during CPS Week is a great way to educate children and parents with this safety message.

This article can be used by submitting it to your local newspaper.

 

Press Release , Press Release (Head Start focus) and Post Release for CPS Checks

The press release should be sent to local media outlets before the CPS check. The post-release should be sent out to local media outlets after the CPS check, announcing results.

 

Talking Points

The talking points can be used at press events or media interviews that are held before or during CPS Week.

This fact sheet can be used to get information you need for press events, interviews, articles and other CPS related materials.

 

Power Point Presentations

Two Power Point presentations have been developed for technicians to use during this campaign. The first can be used with Head Start staff and the second is directed towards parents and caregivers. These pledge cards are available for you to print to use at check events, with classrooms, at health fair booths, etc.

This is a fun page that was created to use with children at different events. It teaches them about child passenger safety while allowing them to have fun coloring and playing word games.
